Newfoundlands ARE the best.
So Gentle and sweet! I had two and it is fun watching the awkward stages
of growth. They go from the tiny size to 150-200lbs in a year!
Theres one where I work, and I think it's a Bernese Mountain dog crossed with A newfie
Its not uncommon for them to
reach 200lbs. They were breed to pull fishing nets in Newfoundland, and
are strong enough swimmers to pull a small boat. You can hold on to
their back and they can swim around towing you all day. Awesome breed of
dog. But they do leave a puddle of drool everywhere.
